I'm turning into a cat lady.

I adopted another cat last weekend. This puts my cat tally at 2. I don't think that 2 cats qualifies me for "crazy cat lady" nominations...especially since I also live with my boyfriend, which proves that I am not looking to fill the void of lack of a significant relationship. HOWEVER- I actually considered buying my cat a hat and sweater and a leash to take him on walks the other day. Had P not pointed out the serious amount of crazy I was displaying at the time, my cat may currently be donning an outfit.

Breathing Earth

So....I do consider myself to be fairly "earth conscious" and consider myself a citizen of the world. However, sometimes I start to think to myself that it may be easier to live in a bubble as 99% of the people around me like to do, and do so very well.

Case in point- I ran across this website today and it scares me. Note how often the US blips orange as we consume 1000 tonnes of CO2. I could cry.

This is going to sound awful, and it may be, but I have to say it anyway. Notice how much faster the tally of births climbs than the tally of deaths? Do we honestly need an ever-growing world population? I think not. It's about time that more people start breeding responsibly. It's about time to start educating the world on the effect that species over-population will have on an environment over time. It won't be long before deaths exceed births- and it won't be due to less births.

Yup....I need a bubble.
